An opportunity for Swiss researchers! The prestigious L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Prize, supported by SATW, is being launched in Switzerland, offering financial support and recognition to female talent in STEM.
The L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science programme is coming to Switzerland in 2025. This launch marks an important milestone for women scientists at the start of their careers, offering them recognition and financial support that is essential for them to continue their research in the fields of STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics).
This programme, supported by L’Oréal Switzerland, the Swiss Commission for UNESCO and the Swiss Academy of Technical Sciences (SATW), will reward four talented young female researchers every year.
Diversity, the driving force behind scientific innovation
The figures speak for themselves : only 33.3% of researchers worldwide are women. This imbalance reflects the challenges that women face in the scientific community.
By collaborating with L’Oréal Switzerland, the Swiss Commission for UNESCO and SATW, this Swiss programme aims to change the situation by recognising the contributions of women to science and encouraging greater diversity in research.
Apply before 31 March!
Applications for this first Swiss edition are open until 31 March 2025. Eligible researchers must be at the beginning of their careers and conduct their work in Swiss institutions. This award represents a unique opportunity to fund their research projects and accelerate their careers.
