The Pitch Challenge 2026 will take place on Monday 31 August 2026 at the Salle de la Gare and will once again put the spotlight on the next generation of engineers from the School of Engineering of HES-SO Valais-Wallis.
The event is organised by the School of Engineering of HES-SO Valais-Wallis, the École Professionnelle Intercantonale de Chimie, Swiss Engineering, the Groupement d’Entreprises du Chablais and BioArk.
It will showcase Bachelor projects developed by students from the School of Engineering, including Life Sciences Engineering, Systems Engineering, Energy and Environmental Engineering, and Computer Science and Communication Systems.
How the event works
The format is simple and demanding: each selected student has one visual and 120 seconds to present their Bachelor project to a jury and the public.
The aim is to make technical work understandable, show its relevance and convince the audience of the project’s value.
The public will also be able to visit the Bachelor project exhibition before the pitches.
Why this event matters
The Pitch Challenge gives visibility to applied engineering projects developed in Valais. It also creates a direct link between students, schools, companies and ecosystem partners.
For the life sciences sector, this connection is important. New ideas often emerge from student projects, applied research, technical prototypes or concrete problems identified during training. Giving these projects visibility helps connect young talent with the professional environments where their work can continue to develop.
BioArk supports the Life Sciences prize, which recognises an innovation with potential relevance for the life sciences sector.
