ILMAC Lausanne will bring together professionals from research, development, manufacturing and quality control on 23 and 24 September 2026 at Beaulieu Lausanne. BioArk will attend the event, represented by Sylvain Aumonier, Life Sciences Project Manager.
Held every two years, ILMAC Lausanne is a major meeting point for the chemical and Life Sciences industries in French-speaking Switzerland. Its scope covers the full technical pathway, from laboratory research and analytical methods to bioprocessing, automation, pharmaceutical production and quality control.
The 2026 edition will combine an exhibition, a two-day scientific conference, startup pitches and dedicated networking sessions.
Process control, quality and AI
The first conference day will focus on Process Analytical Technology. PAT uses real-time measurements to improve process understanding, control critical parameters and maintain consistent product quality.
Organised by the Swiss Chemical Society and the Swiss Process and Chemical Engineers, the programme will examine recent developments in PAT, its connection with artificial intelligence and its implementation in production environments.
The discussions will address practical industrial concerns, including process efficiency, early fault detection, regulatory requirements and the use of operational data in manufacturing.
Biotools across the Life Sciences value chain
The second day will host the BioAlps Forum, co-organised with Innovaud and held in partnership with the Swiss Biotech Association.
Its programme will examine how biotools move from applied research to industrial adoption. Sessions will cover bioconvergence, market access, advanced therapies and the technologies required to deliver cell and gene therapies at scale.
Experts from CSEM, Thermo Fisher Scientific, EPFL, Bracco, Limula, the University of Fribourg and Cytiva will contribute perspectives from research, technology development and industry. BioAlps will also welcome ten regional biotools startups to its booth and organise a dedicated pitch session.
The full conference programme offers a clear view of the technical and industrial questions covered across both days.
A place for practical discussions
Beyond the conference programme, ILMAC provides opportunities to compare technologies, meet specialised suppliers and discuss implementation requirements with industry peers.
BioArk will be represented by Sylvain Aumonier, Life Sciences Project Manager. Companies developing a Life Sciences technology, preparing for scale-up or looking for infrastructure and industrial partners in Valais will be able to discuss their project with him during the event.
