Exhibition of undergraduate projects and pitch competition for future Valais engineers

Following the success of previous editions, the Pitch Challenge and the exhibition of bachelor’s theses will once again be organised by the Haute École d’Ingénierie (HEI) and the École Professionnelle Intercantonale de Chimie (EPIC), in partnership with Swiss Engineering and the Groupement d’Entreprises du Chablais (GEC). The event, which will take place on 26 August at the Théâtre du Crochetan, will be an opportunity to discover the projects of future college engineers.

Students will have 100 seconds and a visual to convince the public to invest in their project. HEI wants to showcase the quality of its students’ work and give them the opportunity to meet the public.
In 2023, Lisa Rudaz, a student in energy and environmental engineering, won the Swiss Engineering Prize for her work on turbining industrial water at the Cailler factory in Broc. Paul Gachet, a student in Energy and Environmental Engineering, won the public prize awarded by the Groupement d’Entreprises du Chablais (GEC) for his project on the design and preparation of a photovoltaic installation in Togo!

Scientific conference
The Pitch Challenge will be followed by a lecture on “A microbial cell for energy production and waste water treatment” by Fabian Fischer, Professor of Life Sciences and Research Institute at the Haute Ecole d’Ingénierie.
The exhibition of students’ diploma theses will open at 4 pm. This will be another opportunity to meet and talk to the future engineers preparing for the job market, as well as the professors and staff of the Haute Ecole and its partners.
