How is digital innovation transforming healthcare delivery? At BioAlps Networking Day 2026, the Valais Life Sciences ecosystem will bring concrete examples to the discussion, from hospital care at home to AI-powered tools for healthcare professionals. BioArk and SMART Confluence will be in Lausanne on 19 November to showcase these initiatives, exchange expertise and connect with the Swiss Health Valley community.
Celebrating the 25th anniversary of BioAlps, this year’s Networking Day will bring together researchers, entrepreneurs, investors and industry representatives at Beaulieu Lausanne. While the morning explores Vaud’s Life Sciences ecosystem, the afternoon will focus on Advancing Healthcare Through Digital Innovation, addressing the opportunities and challenges of integrating new technologies into healthcare practice.
From hospital care at home to AI-assisted healthcare
At a dedicated health stand, SMART Confluence will highlight two initiatives from the Valais ecosystem:
- Hospital@Home Valais, a pilot project exploring how hospital-level care can be delivered in patients’ homes, supported by adapted care pathways and coordination between healthcare professionals.
- Sof-IA, an AI-powered wearable assistant designed to support healthcare professionals with real-time translation, clinical documentation and safety checks. The solution recently received two awards at the Foire du Valais: the Prix Coup de cœur BCVS and the public prize at the Pitch Contest organised by Fondation The Ark.
Both initiatives will also feature in the afternoon programme, with Corinna Ionta (Hospital@Home Valais) contributing to The Empowered Patient and Julio Cortes (Sof-IA) joining The Empowered Caregiver.
